Following their back-to-back Test series triumphs against England and Australia, the Indian women's team skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, accompanied by head coach Amol Muzumdar and fielding coach Munish Bali, went to the Siddhivinayak temple on Tuesday to seek divine blessings.

In their first Test appearance on home turf since 2014, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side dominated proceedings, registering a comprehensive 347-run win over the star-studded England side in the one-off Test match.

The Women in Blue went on to script history as Harmanpreet and Co. thrashed Australia by eight wickets to record 1st-ever Test win over the Baggy Greens in women's Tests. Chasing 75 runs, India reached 75/2 in 18.4 overs, courtesy of an unbeaten knock of 38 off 61 balls by Smriti Mandhana.

Starting their second innings at 261, in reply to India's 406, the visitors saw Tahlia McGrath (73) scoring a half-century, although it was overshadowed by Sneh Rana's impactful figure of 4/63.

Following the conclusion of the red-ball contest, India and Australia are set to engage in the white-ball arena with a three-match ODI series starting on December 8, followed by a three-match T20 series.
