Former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh recently reacted to a post from a fake account on X (formerly Twitter) that claimed to be Pakistan's new Olympic champion, Arshad Nadeem.

The post featured images of Nadeem, who won the gold medal, alongside Neeraj Chopra, the silver medalist, at the Olympics. Harbhajan mistakenly lauded the pictures and believed them to be from the genuine account of Arshad Nadeem.

Following this historic achievement, a post from a fake account named "ArshaadNadeemPak" circulated on social media.

Harbhajan Singh, unaware that the account was fake, initially commented on the post and congratulated Arshad Nadeem for his remarkable accomplishment.

However, once he realised the mistake, Harbhajan quickly rectified it by sharing the real account of Arshad Nadeem and wished him congratulations on the historic victory.

It is worth mentioning that the real account of Arshad Nadeem is @ArshadOlymoian11 and after the victory, he shared a post that was captioned as-

Today was Arshad's day. I gave my best, but some things need to be addressed and worked on. We all feel happy whenever we win a medal for the country. It's time to improve the game now.”

Ace javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem made Pakistan proud at the Paris Olympics 2024 by setting a world record with a throw of 92.97 meters and secured a gold medal.

India's Neeraj Chopra, who won gold at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, finished second and claimed the silver medal.
