Suryakumar Yadav touched down in New York on May 26 alongside Indian captain Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja for the forthcoming 2024 T20 World Cup.

As they wait for the remaining arrivals, the Indian players will soon be expected to begin training prior to their lone warm-up game against Bangladesh on June 1.

Ahead of the highly-awaited T20 extravaganza, Suryakumar Yadav's wife, Devisha Shetty, recently decided to relive memories of India's remarkable win over Pakistan from the previous edition of the tournament (2022), where senior batter Virat Kohli pulled off one of the heists for the ages.

Devisha says Kohli’s MCG epic ‘still gives goosebumps’

On May 27, Suryakumar Yadav's wife, Devisha Shetty took to her Instagram account and shared a snapshot of Virat Kohli's victory celebration over Pakistan from the 2022 T20 World Cup at the iconic MCG.

The match in contention featured Kohli pulling off one of the greatest run-chase knocks against an experienced Pakistan attack to take India to a last-ball win.

The cricketer punched out an unbeaten 53-ball 82 in the game, and the twin sixes he smacked off Haris Rauf in India's penultimate over has since become one of the most celebrated moments in World Cup folklore.

Apart from sharing the snapshot on her Instagram story, Devisha also wrote a nostalgic caption that reads:

“What an insane game! Still gives goosebumps!”

Team India and Virat Kohli might well recreate their 2022 effort in next week's high-stakes Group A clash against the same opponents.

While the Rohit Sharma-led team is scheduled to face Ireland in New York on June 5 in their tournament opener, they will go up against the Pakistan cricket team at the same venue on June 9.
