Pakistan's emerging fast bowler, Naseem Shah, is making a strong comeback following his shoulder surgery in October. He shared a fitness update on his recovery journey via Instagram.

Naseem Shah missed out on Pakistan's World Cup 2023 campaign in India due to a shoulder dislocation suffered during the Asia Cup 2023 Super Four match against India at Colombo's R Premadasa Stadium.

Without Naseem Shah, Pakistan turned to Hasan Ali for the World Cup, but his performance, coupled with other bowlers, fell below expectations as the Men in Green couldn't make it to the ICC World Cup 2023 knockout stage, finishing fifth in the points table.

Having undergone shoulder surgery on October 5, Naseem Shah shared a successful surgery clip on social media. Over a month later, he's now running and progressing well on the path to recovery.

The 20-year-old speedster took to his Instagram story to share a video of himself bowling to PCB medical professional Imtiaz Ahmad, eventually bowling him out. Alongside the video, he captioned: “First wicket after rehab @drimtiazahmad7”.

Naseem Shah's absence will be deeply felt as Pakistan embarks on a three-match Test series against Australia, starting on December 14 in Perth. He has been the main man for Pakistan in red ball cricket for a year, and now they are left wondering how their bowling lineup will fare without his firepower.
