Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan secured a hat-trick on his LPL debut for Colombo Strikers. He finished the game with impressive figures of 4/22, taking the key wickets of Wanindu Hasaranga, Salman Ali Agha and Pavan Rathnayake. 

Following his clinical performance, Shadab expressed his happiness and thanked God for his achievement in a post on X.

In his post, Shadab wrote 'God is great' while mentioning his impressive numbers with bat and ball. 

This performance will provide a huge boost to Shadab, who couldn't perform well for Pakistan in the recently-held T20 World Cup. 

He couldn't pick a single wicket in the T20 World Cup, and now, he would be hoping to regain his confidence with his performances in the LPL.

Colombo Strikers batted first and scored 198-7 in their 20 overs. Sadeera Samarawickrama was the top scorer with a 26-ball 48, while captain Thisara Perera contributed a 30-ball 38. Shadab added 20 runs off 17 balls, and Chamika Karunaratne hit a quick-fire 25 off 10 balls.

In reply, Kandy Falcons were bowled out for 147, conceding the Strikers a 51-run victory. Besides Shadab, spinner Dunith Wellalage also shone with the ball, taking 4/20.
