India head coach Gautam Gambhir was involved in a huge fight with the Oval groundstaff on Tuesday. A heated exchange took place, and the two had to be separated by the Indian coaching staff. The fifth Test of the 5-match series is slated to take place on Thursday, July 31, but the Indian team, and its coach have landed in trouble.

What happened between Gambhir and groundstaff?

Team India had its first practice session on Tuesday, and coach Gautam Gambhir was unhappy with the facilities provides to them. The conversation turned ugly as the argument escalated, and Gambhir was seen pointing fingers at the Oval groundstaff member.

As per TOI, The Oval groundstaff member has threatened to file a complaint against Gambhir. They also reported that Gambhir shouted: "You can go, and report to whoever you want, but you can't tell us what to do."

The consequences are yet to be revealed, but if a formal complaint is filed, Gambhir might land himself in trouble. He could be barred from sitting with the India team dugout for the fifth Test, but that depends on what transpires in the next couple of days. However, expect things to escalate as neither Gambhir, nor the curator backed down from confronting each other.
