Former England captain Nasser Hussain has criticised current English opener Ben Duckett for his comments on Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal's remarkable performance in the ongoing Test series against England. Jaiswal's aggressive batting style has left a lasting impact on the series, with two consecutive double centuries in the third and fourth Tests.

Duckett's statement praising England's role in influencing Jaiswal's approach towards Test cricket received backlash from Hussain and other cricket experts.

"He (Jaiswal) has not learnt from you. He's learnt from his upbringing, all the hard yards he had to put in growing up," Hussain emphasized.

Hussain urged the England team to focus and learn from Jaiswal's dedication and hard work.

Jaiswal's outstanding form has been the highlight of the series, with a total of 545 runs in six innings at an impressive average of 109.0. His monumental 214 in Rajkot played a key role in setting up a daunting target of 557 runs for England in the third Test. Despite England's efforts, they succumbed to a massive 434-run defeat against India.

Critics have also pointed out the need for England players to acknowledge and appreciate Jaiswal's talent rather than seeking credit for his success. Duckett's remarks sparked a debate about the importance of humility and respect towards opponents in the field of sports.

Jaiswal's journey from the IPL to international Test cricket has been a source of inspiration for many aspiring cricketers. His aggressive yet disciplined approach at the crease has earned him admiration from fans and experts alike.

As the series progresses, all eyes will be on Jaiswal. With India leading the 5-Test match series 2-1, the fourth test match is scheduled to begin on February 23 in Ranchi.
