Former World Cup-winning captain Aaron Finch has identified MS Dhoni as the ultimate tactician and Ravindra Jadeja as the most exceptional ground fielder he has encountered in his cricketing journey.

Tasked with assembling his ultimate cricketer across various skill sets, Finch delved into specific aspects of the game such as power-hitting, catching, ground fielding, death bowling, variations, innovation, powerplay, and tactics.

For power-hitting and powerplay, Finch turned to Chris Gayle his unparalleled ability to decimate bowling attacks. Steve Smith was selected for for his exceptional catching technique. Ravindra Jadeja earned recognition as the premier ground fielder, a testament to his agility and athleticism on the field.

In the section of death bowling, Finch bypassed Jasprit Bumrah in favour of Lasith Malinga, acknowledging the Sri Lankan maestro's unrivaled expertise in the art of bowling at the death. Rashid Khan, hailed as the premier leg-spinner in modern-day cricket, was lauded for his remarkable variations.

When it came to innovation, Finch immediately cited AB de Villiers. Finally, in terms of tactics, Finch unequivocally named MS Dhoni as the master tactician, highlighting the former Indian captain's astute game management skills.

However, it's noteworthy that certain prominent players such as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah were omitted from Finch's selections.

While these players undoubtedly possess exceptional skills and have made significant contributions to the game, Finch's choices reflect his personal preferences and the specific attributes he values in building his ideal player.
