Delhi Capitals' captain Rishabh Pant had a forgettable time in his side's ongoing IPL 2024 encounter against Rajasthan Royals as he was dismissed cheaply off Yuzvendra Chahal's bowling.

Coming at number five, Pant could score only 15 runs before Chahal made him his 350th victim in T20 cricket.

The incident occurred during the 14th over of the Capitals' innings when they were yet to recover from Abhishek Porel's massive wicket.

After conceding three singles off his first three balls, Chahal bowled a well tossed-up delivery as Pant tried to slog it away over the square leg fence.

However, while doing so, the explosive batter ended up hitting it straight to Trent Boult, who took an easy catch at the fine leg boundary.

After Pant got out, DC debutant Gulbadin Naib joined Tristan Stubbs in the middle. Earlier, the hosts got off to a flying start, thanks to Jake Fraser-McGurk's onslaught on the RR bowlers.

The flamboyant Aussie batter raced to a breezy fifty before R Ashwin made him his first victim of the day.

However, his opening partner Abhishek Porel played a tremendous 36-ball 65-run knock, helping DC post a competitive total.

As of writing, the Capitals were 164 for five in 14 overs, with Stubbs and Naib batting on 6* and 11*, respectively.
