Fakhar Zaman returns to Pakistan T20I squad as PCB releases Hasan Nawaz before Tri-Series

In a significant development, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released Hasan Nawaz from the ODI and T20I tri-series squad. While veteran batter Fakhar Zaman makes his T20I return and fills Nawaz's void in T20Is, Pakistan haven't added a replacement player to their ODI squad.

Although Hasan Nawaz has been struggling with poor form for quite a while now, Pakistan haven't dropped him due to his recent performance. As the PCB revealed, the batter has been released to participate in the Quaid-e-Azam trophy, Pakistan's premier domestic red-ball competition. 

On the other hand, Fakhar Zaman, who was one of the standby players for the South Africa T20Is, makes his comeback to the shortest format.
