India’s World Cup 2023 warm-up fixture against defending champions England was halted owing to rains in Guwahati. Even though ceaseless rains disrupted and delayed the proceedings upfront, an over-enthusiastic crowd waiting at the Assam Cricket Association Stadium stayed on and supported India's batting superstars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

A section of the crowd present at the venue can be seen chanting Kohli and Sharma's names amidst rain delay as they eagerly wait out for rain to make some way for cricketing action.

The Assam Cricket Association Stadium in Guwahati witnessed a good turnout on Saturday, September 30, for India's warm-up World Cup 2023 clash against England, even though early weather predictions had indicated heavy rainfall in the city.

The rains eventually had its say in the game as the match, scheduled to commence in the afternoon, did not go underway until the evening. The delayed proceedings and the subsequent no-result, however, made little difference to the crowd as they echoed the chants of fan-favourite players Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma throughout the stadium.
