On Thursday, April 10, Royal Challengers Bengaluru locked horns against Delhi Capitals at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. It was a thriller as RCB, batting first, put 163 runs on the board.

In reply, DC lost three early wickets, but KL Rahul took the onus on his shoulders and stayed till the end. The DC star finished the game in style with a six and hogged the internet after he pulled out an aggressive celebration, where he thumped his chest in anger and also made a circle with the bat on the ground and then planted it on the ground. 

KL Rahul Explains His Viral Celebration Against RCB

The celebration went viral as it was a rare occasion where Rahul lost his calm and looked animated. Meanwhile, in the latest events, KL has explained the viral celebration and also revealed the movie that inspired his celebration. 

Notably, Rahul revealed that the celebration was inspired by his favourite movie 'Kantara', where the protagonist made a similar gesture in a jungle to mark his territory and it inspired Rahul to pull a similar celebration as he thrashed RCB at his home ground.

Rahul also revealed that it was his home ground, and he grew up playing at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.  KL also represented RCB in 2013 and 2016. KL is having a wonderful season so far with Delhi Capitals as he smashed his consecutive fifties against RCB.

Rahul has so far has 185 runs in just three matches and is among the contenders for the orange cap race.
