Former Chennai Super Kings captain, MS Dhoni has arrived in Chennai ahead of the Indian Premier League 2025. The 43-year-old right handed wicket-keeper batter will be featuring in his 18th edition of the popular T20 franchise league and the excitement and love he receives from all his CSK fans is nothing different than his early days.

Affectionately referred as 'Thala', MS Dhoni was previously training in Ranchi to get match-fit before the hectic two-month season begins from March 22 onwards. A new image straight from Chennai airport shows Dhoni arriving in full style with heavy security surrounding him for his safety.

The reason for his arrival in Chennai is to attend CSK's pre-IPL camp this year as usual. Earlier, CSK had also posted a video for their captain Ruturaj Gaikwad. It is reported that he has reached the city.

MS Dhoni To Play IPL 2025

MS Dhoni, will continue playing for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2025 as an uncapped player, retaining his iconic status with the team. Despite his retirement from international cricket nearly six years ago, Dhoni remains a crucial part of CSK’s lineup. The team has retained key players including Ravindra Jadeja (₹18 crore), Ruturaj Gaikwad (₹18 crore), Matheesha Pathirana (₹13 crore), and Shivam Dube (₹12 crore), with Dhoni being valued at ₹4 crore.
