Dubai is ready to host one of the world's largest sporting rivalries, India against Pakistan at the Asia Cup 2025. With thousands of supporters expected to pack the stadium, authorities in Dubai have issued strict safety guidelines, warning that unruly behaviour could land fans in jail or leave them facing heavy fines.

This is the first India-Pakistan meeting since the recent four-day armed military conflict that ended in May. While political tensions remain high, past matches in the UAE have shown that fans from both sides can come together peacefully to enjoy cricket.

Dubai Police Issues Strict Guidelines For Indo-Pak Game

According to the UAE’s National News, the Events Security Committee of Dubai Police said fans must show discipline and ensure their conduct reflects the UAE’s reputation as a safe and world-class host for international events.

Cricket supporters have been urged to arrive at the venue at least three hours before the 6:30 pm start to avoid traffic chaos and long queues.

With tensions boiling between India and Pakistan, authorities are leaving nothing to chance. Maj Gen Saif Al Mazrouei, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations at Dubai Police, confirmed that special security teams will be deployed.

He warned that anyone breaking rules or putting others at risk would face legal action under the Federal Law on the Security of Sports Facilities and Events.

Strict penalties include:

  • Entering the pitch without permission: 1–3 months imprisonment + fines from Dh5,000 to Dh30,000
  • Violence, object-throwing, or racist/abusive language: imprisonment + fines ranging from Dh10,000 to Dh30,000.
  • Carrying prohibited items like fireworks, lasers, sharp objects, banners, or glass bottles will also result in punishment.

The committee also reminded fans to follow key rules, which are to respect ticket validity, avoid careless parking, and not attempt multiple entries with one ticket.

The prohibited items list includes fireworks, flammable substances, lasers, selfie sticks, umbrellas, large cameras, pets, remote-controlled devices, bicycles, scooters, and toxic substances.

India-Pakistan Asia Cup Match Ticket Sale Plunges

With just hours left for the India-Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 match in Dubai, ticket sales have been surprisingly slow. Organisers have promoted a streamlined one-ticket format, but demand is said to be low, particularly for higher-end seats.

Some believe the absence of T20 legends Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli could be the reason behind the lack of enthusiasm. Moreover, premium tickets priced above ₹2.5 lakh for two are only affordable to the high-rich class consumers.
