‘Disgraceful; His Culture’ - Netizens Divided Over Mitch Marsh’s Gesture With World Cup

After winning the World Cup title for the record-extending sixth time, Australia captain Pat Cummins shared a few stories on his social media handle. Among them, one picture caught a lot of attention, where Mitchell Marsh was seen putting his leg over the World Cup trophy.

The Indian fans, who always revere the title above all else, did not appreciate Marsh’s gesture. The reactions on social media were absolutely brutal about Marsh, whereas many of them opposed them as well, considering Australia do not care what people think.

Many of them echoed that it’s their trophy, and they have earned it by defeating an in-form Rohit Sharma-led India in their own backyard at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Hence, the Aussies could celebrate in whatever way they wanted to celebrate, and it was completely nonsense to criticize him absolutely unnecessarily.

Here're some of reactions on Mitchell Marsh's photo

Australia will next play a five-match T20I series against India, starting from November 23 in Visakhapatnam. Marsh will lead them in many regular's absents, whereas India's squad is yet to be announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
