The IPL 2025 is all set to resume from May 17 and CSK would play their first game after suspension against Rajasthan Royals on May 20. They are out of the tournament but would be looking to finish off on a high with two wins.

There were doubts over the availability of the foriegn players, but now the CSK CEO has confirmed to Bharat Sharma of PTI that all overseas stars except Jamie Overton will be available after IPL 2025 resumption.

Focus On CSK Youngsters Ahead Of IPL 2025 Resumption

It is a great news for CSK as they would get a chance to give more time to a youngster like Dewald Brevis on the IPL stage after his impressive performances in the brief stint for them. Along with Brevis, the likes of Sam Curran and Pathirana who have done decently would also be back. There were serious doubts over the participation of the Kiwi duo, Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway, but they too would be back for CSK.

"All CSK foreign players barring Jamie Overton are expected to join the squad ahead of IPL resumption," CSK CEO told PTI.

The focus would also be on the young players like Ayush Mhatre and Urvil Patel who have shown the intent in the last few games that CSK badly needed. The five-time champions have won just three games out of 12 matches so far, but won their last game before the suspension, and they would be looking to carry the momentum.

IPL 2025 was suspended on May 9 because of tensions between India and Pakistan, and most of the overseas players decided to go back home after that. Most of them are back now for all the franchises, but some of the key players could miss out from the playoff games due to international matches.
