In a heartwarming turn of events during the IPL 2024 clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)  this Friday in M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, former adversaries Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were seen embracing each other on the field.

The unexpected moment occurred during a strategic timeout, capturing the attention of cricket fans worldwide.

Delhi Police, known for its witty social media presence, seized the opportunity to spread awareness about their services. Sharing a photo of Kohli and Gambhir's embrace, they tweeted, "Kisi bhi problem mein madad ke liye 112 hai taiyaar!"

Delhi Police at its best

This gesture comes amidst a history of on-field tensions between the two players. Previously, in IPL 2023, a heated exchange between Kohli and Gambhir resulted in fines for both players.

However, this recent display of sportsmanship reflects a positive shift in their relationship.

The embrace between Kohli and Gambhir was met with applause from commentators Ravi Shastri and Sunil Gavaskar, who even jokingly called for an Oscar Award to commemorate the moment.

Meanwhile, the IPL 2024 clash saw RCB posting a competitive total of 182/6, with Kohli showcasing his batting prowess with a score of 83. However, KKR chased down the target comfortably, emerging victorious with 186/3 in just 16.5 overs, securing the first away win by any team in the season.

Delhi Police's clever tweet not only highlighted the camaraderie between Kohli and Gambhir but also served as a reminder of their emergency assistance hotline.

This isn't the first time Delhi Police has tweeted in this manner. Earlier, during a Test match between India and England, they made a humorous tweet regarding an exchange between Rohit Sharma and Sarfaraz Khan.

Looking ahead, the next encounter between RCB and KKR is scheduled to take place at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on 21 April, promising another exciting chapter in their rivalry.
