Deepti Sharma displaced New Zealand’s Amelia Kerr to break into the top five rankings among women’s ODI all-rounders. The 27-year-old gained a rung to jump from sixth to fifth position, and is currently holding 344 rating points on the ODI charts.

Amelia, meanwhile, slipped to sixth position to find herself six rating points behind the Indian all-rounder. Notably, Deepti Sharma is the lone Indian player among the top 10 ranked all-rounders, and is also ranked fourth in the list of ICC’s ODI bowling table.

Deepti Sharma jumps into top five

Deepti Sharma burst into the top five ODI all-rounders as per the latest ICC rankings for her stellar show during India’s home series against Ireland. In the three matches against Ireland Women, the cricketer picked up seven wickets at an impressive bowling average of 15. She also picked up two match-winning three-wicket hauls in the process as India swept the series 3-0 in Rajkot.

Currently ranked number five on the ICC charts for women’s ODI all-rounders, Deepti Sharma is preceded by England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt at four, West Indies’ Hayley Matthews at three, South Africa’s Marizanne Kapp at two and Australia’s Ashleigh Gardner as the number one all-rounder in the world.

Sri Lankan captain Chamari Athapaththu also gained two rungs to jump to the seventh spot, finding herself just behind Amelia Kerr. Annabel Sutherland, Sophie Devine and Alana King round the top 10 charts at number eight, nine and ten respectively.

Notably, Deepti Sharma is the lone Indian cricketer in the top 10 list of both, the ICC rankings of women’s ODI all-rounders and women’s ODI bowlers (fourth).
