DC vs KKR; Delhi Capitals Start Strong as KKR Batting Line-Up Crumbles

Delhi Capitals (DC) are back at their home, Arun Jaitley Stadium and have started off with a bang against KKR, bowling with great discipline and intent. They are yet to get off the mark this season with five straight losses to start the season but look determined in this game with flurry of changes in their squad as well.
Ishant Sharma and Mukesh Kumar came into the XI to boost the pace attack and along with Nortje both of them picked a wicket each to reduce KKR to 3203 in the 6th over. KKR too were with the new opening pair of Litton Das and Jason Roy but Mukesh got the better of Litton in the second over to lift DC's spirit early in the game. The centurion of the last game for KKR, Venkatesh Iyer departed for a duck in this game while Rana became the first wicket of Ishant Sharma in IPL 2023.
However, things got even worse for KKR soon as they lost Mandeep Singh and Rinku Singh in quick succession as Axar Patel got into the act. Ishant Sharma then took the wicket of Narine to put KKR in a bigger hole. At the time of writing, KKR are 70-6 in the 12th over with Roy still in the crease alongside Andre Russell.
