The 29th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 will be played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Friday, April 21.

Both Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad are both loaded with top-quality players, making this match a highly-anticipated contest.

But before we dive into the excitement, let’s take a look at the key match-ups that could shape the final result:

Rahul Tripathi vs Ravindra Jadeja

Tripathi has been off his game this season, scoring just 124 runs in five matches at an average of 31 and a strike rate of 124. His struggles are unlikely to ease up in the upcoming match against Chennai Super Kings, as he will face Ravindra Jadeja, who has been able to keep him quiet in T20s in the last couple of years.

In the 20 balls that Jadeja has bowled to Tripathi, he has managed just 20 runs with two dismissals, giving him an average of just 10 against the spinner. To sum it up, we're in for an engaging contest between these two players.

Moeen Ali vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar:

Another interesting duel to watch out for in the upcoming match will be between Moeen Ali and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. However, the advantage seems to be firmly in Bhuvneshwar Kumar's court, who has had the upper hand against Moeen Ali in white-ball cricket.

With a batting average of just five and only 20 runs from 18 balls faced, Moeen will need to find a way to overcome his past struggles against the Uttar Pradesh pacer and perform at his best.

Mayank Agarwal vs Akash Singh:

Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Mayank Aggarwal has had a difficult time facing left-arm pacers in the past, with his batting average dropping down to just 23.

As SRH prepares to take on Chennai Super Kings in their next match, Mayank will have to watch out for the threat posed by Akash Singh, the left-armer who could prove to be a tough challenge for him.

With only 299 runs scored against left-arm pacers and 13 dismissals against them, Mayank will need to step up his game to help his team come out on top.

MS Dhoni vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar:

The Chennai Super Kings captain, MS Dhoni, looks fitter and more energetic than last year, and his recent performances with the bat have been a testament to that.

As CSK gears up for their next match, all eyes will be on the battle between Dhoni and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, with the former dominating the latter in T20 cricket so far.

With a strike rate of 165 and 94 runs scored off 57 balls faced against Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Dhoni will be up and ready to take on the challenge once again.

Shivam Dube vs Mayank Markande:

With the pitch at Chepauk expected to assist spinners, Chennai Super Kings might tweak their batting lineup for the upcoming match.

One option is to promote Shivam Dube to counter the spin threat. However, it's worth noting that his record against leg-spinners is not very impressive, with 136 runs scored off 102 balls faced and five dismissals.

If Shivam Dube is indeed promoted in the batting order, he will have to contend with the wily Mayank Markande, who has been the standout spinner for Sunrisers Hyderabad in this tournament. Markande has taken six wickets in three matches with a brilliant economy rate of less than seven.
