CWI Announce West Indies’ 2024 Home Schedule, Features Pre-T20 WC Series Vs SA

Cricket West Indies (CWI) have announced an action-packed calendar year for their men’s cricket team. As per the schedule, the West Indies men’s team will be hosting South Africa, England and Bangladesh between May 23 and December 19 for a total of 14 T20Is, six ODIs and four Test matches.

West Indies’ home season will launch with a three-match T20I series against the visiting South African troops in Jamaica on May 23. The preliminary set of matches against the Proteas will constitute as the final set of fixtures for both sides prior to the 2024 T20 World Cup in June.

CWI announce jam-packed home season for West Indies

The West Indies cricket team is set to host South Africa for a series of three T20I matches just a week prior to hosting the 2024 T20 World Cup. Moreover, South Africa will once again tour West Indies a month after the multi-nation tournament for two Test matches and another three-match T20I challenge.

West Indies will subsequently entertain England at Antigua, Barbados and St. Lucia between October 31 and November 17 for a series of eight white-ball games, consisting of three ODIs and five T20I matches.

West Indies will conclude the year with a two-match Test series against Bangladesh at Antigua and Jamica in November, and with another three ODIs and three T20I matches at St Kitts and St Vincent respectively in December.

The Test series against South Africa and Bangladesh will also constitute a part of the ongoing 2023-25 World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.

CWI Chief Executive Johnny Grave expressed his delight in announcing a hectic home schedule for the West Indies cricket team, and urged all their fans to rally behind the ‘Men in Maroon’.
