As per emerging reports, legendary CSK player Ambati Rayudu is going to become the first-ever Indian cricketer to feature in South Africa's global T20 league, SA20. Rayudu will likely be roped in by CSK's sister franchise, Joburg Super Kings, in the upcoming auction ahead of the tournament's second season.

As reported by Cricbuzz, Chennai Super Kings' CEO Mr Kasi Viswanathan has stated that the Johannesburg-based team is seriously thinking about bringing Rayudu into their squad for the mega event.

However, the final call on the batter's inclusion will be taken after the ongoing discussions with JSK's leadership group comprising skipper Faf du Plessis and coach Stephen Fleming.

Regarded as one of the finest middle-order batters in the IPL, Rayudu retired from the lucrative Indian league on a high note after lifting the trophy for CSK earlier this year. The stylish batter from Hyderabad was all set to play the inaugural Major League Cricket but pulled out of it, citing personal reasons.

However, he was recently picked up by St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and will soon become the second Indian cricketer after Pravin Tambe to feature in the Caribbean Premier League. In his illustrious 14-year-long IPL career, Rayudu has slammed 4348 runs, including a hundred and 22 fifties, at a healthy strike rate of 127.54.
