Guyana Amazon Warriors secured a six-wicket victory over the St. Lucia Kings in Match 27 of Caribbean Premier League 2022 on Thursday (22 September) at Guyana.
Faf du Plessis powers Kings to a mammoth total
Batting first, Kings lost their makeshift opener Mark Deyal (0) early. However, the in-form batters Faf du Plessis and Niroshan Dickwella were proficient to steer the team at a lavish rate.
Faf was at his absolute best to smack boundaries all over the park, while Dickwella was a strong support. The duo added 133 runs for the second wicket, before Dickwella was dismissed for 36 off 32.
Odean Smith cleaned up Faf, who scored 103 off 59, laced with 10 fours and six maximums. In the end, David Wiese and Roston Chase propelled the Kings to a total of 194.
