The County Championship Division Two 2022 witnessed four matches being resumed on Thursday (22 September). Here's a report on the action that happened at Cardiff, Leicester, Worcester and Chester-Le-Street.

Derbyshire started Day 3 on 135/5, with Harry Came and Anuj Dal as the overnight batters at Cardiff. The duo were clinical to steer the team at a brisk rate and add 85 runs, before Came (64) was dismissed by Timm van der Gugten. Soon, Dal made his way back to the hut just eight runs shy of his fifth First-Class century.
Derbyshire was dismissed on 253, and Glamorgan enforced a follow-on. In response, the skipper Billy Godleman has been impressive to remain unbeaten on 40, with experienced Leus du Plooy (36*) to finish off the Day on 123/3.

Day 3 - Derbyshire trail by 174 runs
Leicestershire added 21 runs in the first hour of play to be dismissed on 294, and trailed by three runs. Then, Middlesex were rocked by multiple strikes by Callum Parkinson, which sent experienced Stephen Eskinazi and Pieter Malan back to the hut.
However, the in-form Mark Stoneman (81) and talented Max Holden (91) stitched a 155-run stand, which helped Middlesex to finish on a total of 271, and set a target of 275 runs.
In the final seven overs of Day's play, Toby Roland-Jones and Tim Murtagh reduced Leicestershire to a score of 13/4.

Notts started the Day on 129/6, while trailing by an innings and 133 runs. Soon, the keeper-batter Tom Moores (22) was dismissed by Dillon Pennington.
Afterwards, Brett Hutton (20*) and Jake Ball (20) were the notable contributors as they were bundled out for 183. Ben Gibbon and Matthew Waite picked three wickets each to help Worcs win the game in a dominating fashion.
