Mumbai Indians (MI) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) faced each other in the 45th match of IPL 2025. The match is happening at the Wankhede Stadium on April 27. In this match, South African player Corbin Bosch finally made his debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Mumbai Indians.
Corbin Bosch, who is a fast bowler and a handy batsman, was included in Mumbai Indians’ playing XI because Mitchell Santner got injured. Bosch had recently joined the Mumbai squad as a replacement for another South Africa player, Lizaad Williams, who is out of the entire IPL season due to a knee injury.
Interestingly, Corbin Bosch wasn’t picked by any team during the IPL 2025 auction, he went unsold. However, Mumbai Indians later signed him as a replacement. This isn’t Bosch’s first time being around an IPL team either, earlier, he was with Rajasthan Royals as a net bowler, though he never got a chance to play a proper match. Now, he hopes to make the most of his opportunity with Mumbai Indians.
What is Corbin Bosch’s IPL Price?
Corbin Bosch had set his base price at ₹30 lakh in the IPL 2025 auction. Unfortunately, no team bought him at that time.
Later, Mumbai Indians signed him as a replacement for Lizaad Williams, who was originally bought at ₹75 lakh. So, technically, Bosch has joined MI without any bidding war, at his base price of ₹30 lakh.
Bosch is a right-arm fast bowler and bats in the middle order. In T20 cricket, he has played 86 matches so far, taken 59 wickets, and scored a highest of 81 runs in a game.
Most recently, Bosch was part of MI Cape Town’s championship-winning team in the SA20 2025 tournament, where he took 11 wickets.
