The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is fast approaching, and excitement is building ahead of the 18th edition of the tournament. The latest report from from ESPNcricinfo suggest that one of the biggest clashes between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) will take place on Sunday, March 23rd, at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

CSK And MI Likely To Clash On March 23

This high-profile encounter will be one of the most anticipated fixtures of the season, as both teams have a storied rivalry and are fan favourites. Chennai Super Kings, are known for their consistency and dominance in the IPL, while Mumbai Indians are five-time champions and have been one of the most successful teams in the tournament’s history.

Earlier reports had also revealed that the upcoming IPL season will kick off on March 22nd with KKR taking on RCB. That means, there will be a gap of just 12 days between the Champions Trophy Final and the first IPL 2025 game.  Additionally, the Gujarat Titans, will play their first home game on March 25th at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

It is also important to mention that, this highly-anticipated fixture will not only see two of the most successful IPL franchises face off, but it will also mark the much-awaited comeback of MS Dhoni.
