The much-awaited Women's World Cup final is just a day away as the hosts India are all set to lock horns against South Africa on November 2 at the Dr DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The tournament started on a dull note by the Women in Blue, but the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side picked up the momentum at the right time and stunned the world by pulling off a historic run-chase against Australia in the semi-finals.
Upset fans slam BCCI for poor ticket management
Now the fans are optimistic about India lifting their first-ever World Cup title and want to be a part of the historic game. However, they have dealt a setback as ticket-streaming partner BookMyShow is out of tickets, and fans are unhappy about it.
The cricket lovers took to BookMyShow to get a few tickets for the game, but the app displayed 'Coming soon'. The fans were stunned as the final is just a day away, and they are still short of tickets.
This is not the first time cricket enthusiasts have encountered such confusion. A similar situation unfolded during the Men’s ODI World Cup in 2023, when tickets for several matches were released at the last minute, leaving fans scrambling to make arrangements.

India vs South Africa sells out in minutes
The error by BookMyShow was eventually understood as there are no more tickets and the event has been sold out. Interestingly, it is for the first time that a Women's World Cup game has been sold out entirely.
Further, the tickets were sold out within minutes on Saturday, which is a positive sign for Indian cricket going forward. Also, several videos have gone viral on the internet where fans rushed in huge numbers outside the Dr DY Patil Stadium to get the physical tickets.
