Virat Kohli, renowned for his aggressive batting prowess, faced a barrage of criticism from netizens following his sluggish innings during the recent clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Opening the innings after Faf Du Plessis elected to bat first, Kohli's 50 off 37 balls drew ire from fans on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter). Despite the pitch favoring batsmen, Kohli's slow-paced knock of 51 off 43 balls was deemed inadequate for T20 cricket.

Rajat Patidar's rapid fifty in just 19 balls contrasted sharply with Kohli's innings, emphasizing the need for a more aggressive approach. Kohli's dismissal at the hands of SRH's Jaydev Unadkat only fueled the criticism.

Netizens took to Twitter to express their disappointment, branding Kohli with derogatory terms like 'Chokli,' accusing him of selfish play, and suggesting his focus was on personal statistics rather than team performance.

Despite Kohli's subdued performance, RCB managed to post a formidable total of 206 runs against SRH at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. However, the dissatisfaction with Kohli's innings lingered among fans, reflecting their expectations of dynamic and aggressive cricket in the fast-paced T20 format.
