The recently concluded Chappell-Hadlee Trophy between rivals Australia and New Zealand turned out to be one-sided. Australia, led by former ODI captain Aaron Finch, clinched the series 3-0 over Kane Williamson's men, who had a disappointing outing with the bat, contributing to their sides' subpar showing.

Former Australian wicket-keeper Brad Haddin has expressed his views over the Trans-Tasman rivalry in the recent past. The Kiwis last won an ODI in Australia against them in 2009.

New Zealand have lost all 3 T20Is in Australia since 2017 while winning just three out of their 34 Tests in the Kangaroo nation.

Haddin doubts NZ dominance

Haddin, a member of Australia's 2015 World Cup winning side that thwarted New Zealand in the final, said that the Blackcaps cannot compete with Australia.

"I don't think NZ feel they can compete with Australia.”

Kerry O'Keeffe dissapointed with the Kiwis

Former Australian spinner Kerry O’Keeffe lashed out the visiting side, saying that New Zealand failed to hold on to crunch moments despite having good chances to win games across the three ODIs.

“Against Australia, if you get in a winning position, you've got to win,”

In the first and second ODI, Kiwi bowlers pegged Australia's top-order down to 44 for 5 and 54 for 5, respectively, but failed to latch on to any advantage.
