Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Roger Binny has visited Pakistan for the Asia Cup match in Lahore. He was joined by his deputy Rajeev Shukla on this historical visit. It will be the first time since Asia Cup 2008 that an Indian Cricket delegate has gone to the neighbouring country. This happened rightly after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) sent an invitation to these top BCCI officials to come over and join them for a match.

It was inevitable that Binny and Shukla would be visiting Lahore, they were the only office bearers who got approval from the Indian Board for the meet. They are expected to watch the last group stage game between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka which is due to be played in Lahore.

They will be there for the next day as well to watch Super Four's first match where hosts Pakistan will take part. They were invited along with their spouses, but it's not confirmed whether they have gone their or not. In fact both of them are invited for an official dinner at Governor place in Lahore organized by PCB.

Binny who was former World Cup winning all-rounder for India has played their in India's tour of 1984. And for Shukla, who's been associated with BCCI for such a long period, had the opportunity to visit Pakistan in the historic series in 2004 as team official. This place serves as a happy memory for both the visitors.

Earlier today, they were captured when they crossed the Wagah Border and stepped onto Pakistan soil through their Attari Border.

Speaking about the tournament, India is facing a tough challenge from Nepal. They need a win to qualify for the Super Four stage as their last match got washed out against Pakistan.
