BCCI 2024 Awards On January 23, To Be Telecasted On 'This' Streaming App

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to hold the BCCI 2024 awards function in Hyderabad on January 23. The event marks the first BCCI awards to be conducted in the post-COVID-pandemic era, considering the previous function was held in Mumbai in January 2020.


Who will telecast BCCI 2024 Awards?

The BCCI 2024 awards will be held on January 23 in Hyderabad, i.e., near the venue of the upcoming series-opening Test match between hosts India and England. As per reports, players and support staff from both sides will attend the event.

Fans and followers of Indian cricket can tune into the JioCinema app for the telecast of the BCCI 2024 awards. The scheduling of the event indicates that the ceremony will commence from 6 p.m. onwards.

The previous BCCI awards function was staged back in January 2020 for the 2018-19 Indian cricket season. Indian pace maverick Jasprit Bumrah bagged the top honors by winning the Polly Umrigar Award for international cricketer of the year. Former Indian batsman and 1983 World Cup winner Kris Srikanth, meanwhile, won the CK Nayudu Award for lifetime achievement.

After organising the event in January 2020, the BCCI curbed the subsequent functions in the following years owing to COVID-related restrictions. The resultant packed Indian cricketing schedule also factored in the restriction of the annual awards show by the board.
