Babar Azam's last T20I match for Pakistan was on November 29, 2025, against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi, as part of a series that also featured ODIs and Tests. Reports from late 2025 indicated discussions about his potential return to the T20I side ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
