Bangladesh have a busy schedule ahead in the 2023-25 World Test Championship (WTC) cycle, with crucial Test series lined up against Pakistan, India, South Africa, and West Indies.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has planned seven red-ball games as the team shifts its focus from T20Is to the WTC.

Next month, Bangladesh's Test cricketers will play three four-day matches in Chattogram. Two four-day games versus Pakistan A will take place in Darwin from July 19 to July 29 after this.

The Bangladesh A team will then travel to Pakistan in August for two more four-day matches against the same opponents. Additionally, New Zealand A is scheduled to tour Bangladesh in August or September.

BCB's cricket operations chairman, Jalal Yunus, emphasized the importance of these preparations, noting that the ongoing training camps in Chattogram and Sylhet are progressing well.

"The four-day games against strong opponents will help our players in the WTC matches. We are giving them the best preparation ahead of the grueling Test schedule," the BCB's cricket operations chairman stated.

On August 17, two Test matches involving the senior men's squad are scheduled to take place in Pakistan. Venues and dates for these matches are yet to be announced.

Following the Pakistan tour, Bangladesh will face India in two Tests in Chennai and Kanpur, along with three T20Is.

Bangladesh will host two home Test matches against South Africa in October following their tour of India in September. The team will then conclude their WTC campaign with a tour of the West Indies for a full series in November and December.
