Babar Azam graciously posed for a picture with an approaching fan during a training session ahead of Pakistan’s Champions One-Day 2024. The legendary Pakistan batter is set to play for Stallions under the leadership of Mohammad Haris between September 12 and September 29.

Babar Azam recently took the field for Pakistan in a two-match Test series against Bangladesh at home. The 29-year-old cricketer managed to make just 64 runs across all four innings of the two Tests at a dismal average of 16, which subsequently extended his century-less streak in international cricket to exactly a year.

Babar Azam accepts fan request amidst training

Legendary Pakistan batter Babar Azam is currently training at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad alongside his Stallions teammates for the forthcoming Pakistan’s Champions One-Day 2024 season. Earlier this week, the cricketer was approached by one of his passionate loyalists, who evaded ground security to catch a glimpse of the former national captain.

Mere moments before getting apprehended by security, Babar Azam took note of the fan and invited him up close for a brief interaction. The legendary Pakistan batter also graciously accepted the fan’s request to pose in front of camera for a quick picture.

Interestingly, this is not the first instance of a fan invading the Stallions training session in Faisalabad to meet Babar Azam. Earlier, a younger fan stormed inside the ground but failed to spot the former national captain. Babar’s Stallions teammate Haris Rauf even assisted the young fan in question by hilariously helping him escape the security.

Babar Azam is clubbed in the Stallions group for the 2024 Pakistan Champions One-Day Cup alongside the likes of national teammates Shan Masood, Haris Rauf, and Abrar Ahmed among others. The team will be commanded by Pakistan’s white-ball specialist Mohammad Haris.

The Champions One-Day Cup 2024 season will kick off on September 12 with a match between Panthers and Wolves. Babar Azam will sign into the tournament’s action the following day by going up against Lions at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.
