Babar Azam has been the centre of criticism since Pakistan's first round ouster from T20 World Cup 2024. His batting and leadership have both come under the scanner and he would be itching to prove a point in the Test against Bangladesh, that is all set to start on 21st of August.
The right-handed batter is not the captain of the Test side and it is a good opportunity for him to concentrate his energies completely on batting and deliver some big performances. Babar Azam is also looking all pumped up and has now posted some pictures of his training session where he is seen batting in the nets, and practicing fielding drills.
The caption on those photos is 'Strength Through Discipline' which speaks a lot about his mental state ahead of the series and it won't be a surprise if he comes up with some impactful performances against Bangla Tigers.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh team has arrived in Pakistan, a bit earlier than the earlier scheduled due to the political turmoil in their country. It is the two-match Test series with first Test in Rawalpindi and second Test in Karachi.
