Three of Pakistan’s best cricketers at present—Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Afridi—have all registered their names, intending to be picked during the Men’s Hundred draft, scheduled to get underway on March 20.

On the other hand, Saim Ayub, who initially registered his name to play in the upcoming edition, has withdrawn from the draft process.

Babar, Rizwan, and Shaheen were not among the registered ones when The Hundred released their list of those who made themselves available for the coming edition. However, they changed their minds later on and set a reserve price of £100,000 for participation.

As many as 65 Pakistani internationals, including the likes of Naseem Shah, Shadab Khan, and Iftikhar Ahmed, registered their names for the Men’s Hundred before the trio’s availability confirmation. Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Haris, and Imad Wasim are the other Pakistani stars who could be the ones in the next edition of the tournament.

Oval Invincibles, Manchester Originals, Southern Brave, Welsh Fire, Trent Rockets, Birmingham Phoenix, London Spirit, and Northern Superchargers are the eight franchises that are participants in the competition, aiming to lift the trophy.

The Hundred, which will turn four in the coming months, will get underway on July 23.
