While the Pakistan cricket team is struggling to find their feet in Bangladesh, two of their biggest stars, Babar Azam and Naseem Shah, seem to be soaking up the downtime in style, quite literally. The duo were spotted having a blast in the rain and a cheeky little video of their fun has now taken social media by storm.

Babar & Naseem Slide Into the Weekend

In the viral Instagram story shared by Naseem Shah, he and Babar are seen goofing around on a rain-drenched field. With water covering the ground and rain pouring down, the two stand side by side, wait for a “1, 2, 3” countdown and then sprint before diving headfirst onto a cover, sliding like it is a makeshift waterpark.

Naseem captioned the story: “Enjoying with brother” and fans couldn’t stop resharing it. Whether it was their childlike excitement or just the refreshing sight of two big names letting loose, the internet lapped it up.

Babar And Naseem Missing In Action

While their sliding video was light-hearted, it comes at a time when Pakistan cricket is going through another rough patch. Babar Azam was dropped for the ongoing T20I series against Bangladesh, a bold move that raised quite a few eyebrows. Without their most dependable batter, Pakistan’s batting line-up has looked completely out of sorts.

In the two matches so far, Pakistan have lost 0-2, with the first T20I going down by 7 wickets and the second by just 8 runs. The batting has been all over the place with collapses happening quicker than a house of cards in a storm.

As for Naseem, he is still recovering from injury and wasn’t considered fit enough to be picked for the series. Though not part of the squad, he seems to be making the most of his rehab period alongside his close friend Babar.

Meanwhile, Babar and Naseem’s rain-slide may not fix Pakistan’s middle-order but it definitely added a lighter moment to an otherwise gloomy week for fans. Now, whether this duo returns to the Pakistan squad soon or not, one thing is for sure, they haven’t forgotten how to have fun.
