After intense action on the first day, the second day of the Lanka T10 Super League 2024 was marred by the presence of rain. Two out of the three scheduled games were abandone due to rain.

However, the excitement for the third day of the tournament has not gone down. The Jaffna Titans (JT) will take on the Kandy Bolts (KB) in the second match of day three and the eighth match of the tournament. This match will take place at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele, Sri Lanka on 13th December at 6:15 PM IST.

The Jaffna Titans have started the tournament with a bang. They have won both their matches so far and are currently sitting at the top of the table. The best part of their campaign so far has been the fact that they have won both while defending and chasing a target.

On the other hand, it has not been an ideal start for the Kandy Bolts. While one of their games were abandoned due to rain, they have lost the other one. With matches going by thick and fast, the Bolts will aim for a win in this match and get off the mark in the points tally.

The wicket at the Pallekele generally provides a balanced surface for cricket. It allows players of all trades to have a say in deciding the fate of the game. This was exactly what we witnessed on the first two days of the tournament. While 100 plus totals were put on the board by the batters, the bowlers who bowled the right areas and used the variations cleverly also got the benefits from the track. Notably, in two of the three completed matches, the chasing team has won the game. So, waiting for the toss and picking more top order batters from the team batting second could be a sensible thing to do.
