After team India's successful run at the Asia Cup 2023, the second string team India will be travelling to Hangzhou for the Asian Games 2023. India will be participating in cricket for the first time in the Asian Games.

As the format is going to be T20Is, and the dates are clashing with the World Cup, BCCI has named a second-string team which will be led by Ruturaj Gaikwad. Team India have a great chance to become the champions of the Asian Games and bring the Gold Medal home.

With players like Rinku Singh, Tilak Varma, Washington Sundar, and Yashasvi Jaiswal, India are the favourite to win the Gold Medal. The Indian team will be directly playing in the quarter-finals of the Asian Games.

Here's the full schedule for cricket at the Asian Games 2023:

India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, are directly going to play in the quarter finals because of the ICC rankings. Considering the other associate cricket nations are not in the top ranks in the ICC rankings, they will be playing in the group stage and the best ones will be playing against the seeded teams.

India and Pakistan both will be playing their first game on the 3rd of October. All the seeded teams are also a part of the World Cup, so just like India, they will be sending their second-string teams for this particular tournament.

It is a great opportunity for the young Indian players as 2024 is the year of the T20 World Cup and a lot of these guys might get a chance to represent India at the World Cup next year.
