Asia Cup 2023 | Mushfiqur Rahim To Leave Bangladesh Team After Sri Lanka Game

Mushfiqur Rahim, one of the pillars of the Bangladesh cricket team is set to miss Asia Cup games after Bangladesh's Super Fours encounter against Sri Lanka. The reason for the same is understood to be the birth of his second child and this will be a big blow for Bangladesh side who are already without Tamim Iqbal and Najmul Hossain Shanto.
Bangladesh have already lost their first Super 4s game against Pakistan and need to win the game against Sri Lanka to be played on 9th of September to keep their realistic hopes of qualifying for the final alive. Rahim will play that game and his role will be crucial as he was one of the few shining lights for Bangladesh in their last game against Pakistan. He will miss the India game though which will be played on 15th of September.
Mushfiqur Rahim already has a five-year boy who was born in 2018. His wife's name is Jannatul Kefayet Mondy and after dating for a while, the duo got married in 2014. Rahim is the legend of Bangladesh cricket and has been one of their gun player for almost 16 years now. He has captained Bangladesh as well and he is a critical asset for Bangladesh in the upcoming 50-over World Cup in India.
