In a heartwarming incident at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, Indian captain Rohit Sharma surprised attendees during Bangladesh's practice session. The Indian team was set to train later, making Rohit’s early arrival particularly unexpected.

Most had anticipated the skipper to take a break during the optional session. Driving through the crowd in his sleek blue Lamborghini, Rohit's presence immediately drew fans from all directions. Among them was the renowned Bangladeshi superfan, Shoaib Ali, fondly dubbed 'Tiger Shoaib'.

Recognizing him, Sharma warmly greeted him, inquiring about his presence.

'Arey tu yaha agaya (Hey, you're here), said Rohit as he rolled down the window of his swanky car.

An emotional Shoaib later recounted his brief yet touching interaction with the Indian skipper. He shared that he, along with other Bangladeshi fans, had been waiting outside the main stadium entrance as their team practiced inside. To his astonishment, he noticed Rohit in a nearby car and called out to him. Rohit, showing his grounded nature, halted his car to chat with him.

"I was waiting along with some other Bangladeshi fans outside the main gate of the stadium as the team was training inside the ground. Suddenly I spotted a blue car with Rohit Sharma in the driving seat. I shouted his name. The next moment, Rohit stopped his car and spoke to me. This is why he is a big player, he is a very down to earth person," said a teary-eyed Shoaib.

Meanwhile, the Indian team, riding high on their unbeaten streak in the tournament, recently secured a convincing win over Pakistan. Rohit was instrumental in this victory, scoring a magnificent 86 off 63 balls.

The Indian skipper will be eyeing another significant score against a beleaguered Bangladeshi side, which has recently suffered substantial losses against England and New Zealand.
