Another Injury In LSG Camp; Young Indian Sensation Ruled Out Of IPL 2024

LSG fast bowler Shivam Mavi has been ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2024 season owing to an injury. The franchise shared the update on April 3, i.e., a day after KL Rahul and co. upstaged RCB at Bengaluru to register their second win in succession this season.
Mavi, who was roped in by the LSG franchise for a staggering sum last year, also shared a special message for the team upon his exit.

LSG fast bowler Shivam Mavi has been officially ruled out of IPL 2024 after he was benched from their first three games of the season owing to an injury. The franchise broke the news by sharing a special video message from Mavi, where the 25-year-old expressed his disappointment for the same.
The outbound cricketer also urged fans to keep supporting LSG, and extended his best wishes for the team in their IPL 2024 quest. Shivam Mavi said:
“I will miss you a lot. I came after injury. I thought that I will play matches with the team and do good for the team. But unfortunately, I have to go because I have an injury. A cricketer has to be mentally strong enough to know how he will bounce back if he gets injured. We have a very good team here. I would like to tell the fans to keep supporting us. There is nothing without fans. I will cheer for my team. I hope our team wins.”
Shivam Mavi was acquired by the LSG franchise for a staggering sum of Rs. 6.4 crores back in December 2023 during the IPL 2024 auction event.
The prodigious fast bowling talent has so far claimed 53 wickets across 52 T20 matches, including 30 scalps in IPL for the KKR franchise.
The LSG franchise, meanwhile, recently trounced RCB by 28 runs to register their second win in succession this IPL 2024 season. Currently placed at number four on the points table, they will now face Gujarat Titans in match number 21 of the tournament on April 7 at Lucknow.
