Andrew Flintoff, the charismatic former England all-rounder is considered as a front-runner for England's white-ball coach role with Matthew Mott all set to leave the job. Along with Flintoff, Michael Hussey's who was the batting consultant of England during their victorious T20 World Cup 2022 campaign, is also been considered as an option.

There were earlier speculations that England's 2019 World Cup winning captain Eoin Morgan will take over the coaching role, but recently has publicly denied any such possibility and that has brought Flintoff and Michael Hussey into the picture. Flintoff is currently the head coach of Northern Superchargers and has received positive feedback from the players.

Apart from the change in coach, Jos Buttler is also set to leave England's white-ball captaincy, and there are names like Moeen Ali, Sam Curran and Harry Brook who could be tested for the role, ahead of the all-important Champions Trophy 2025.

England in Test Cricket

England are currently playing Test series against West Indies, where they have taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match series. Though there are plenty of changes expected in the white-ball set-up, England are looking a settled lot in the red-ball format with Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum ushering a new era of aggressive style of play.
