Alzarri Joseph Makes his Comeback as an Impact Player For GT; Ayush Badoni Comes in for LSG

Alzarri Joseph has not been part of GT's playing XI in IPL 2023 after the initial few games as the defending champions preferred to play Josh Little in his place. However, with Little now not available for selection due to national duty, Joseph has been brought back into the XI against LSG. He, however, made his entry at the start of the second half when Gill who scored  94 not out off 51 balls in the first innings was given his due rest and was replaced by Joseph.

LSG, on the other hand, have brought in Ayush Badoni in place of Yash Thakur as they look to hunt down a mammoth target of 228.

Both Alzarri Joseph and Ayush Badoni have important roles to play for their respective teams. It is a flat pitch, and Joseph’s raw pace will be crucial for stopping LSG batters, while Ayush Badoni will most likely bat at number 3 and need to get going straightaway.
