GT vs LSG | Saha, Gill's Ballistic Partnership Puts the Titans in Command

Wriddhiman Saha proved yet again why the Gujarat Titans have shown faith in him as the veteran keeper-batter smashed a quick-fire 43-ball 81 to steer the Titans to a commendable 227 for 2 on the board.

Gill-Saha make a mockery of LSG attack

Having put into bat on a belter of a track, the GT openers , Saha and Shubman Gill made full use of the conditions and perhaps Krunal Pandya would have regret his decision to have bowled first.

While Gill took a while to get going, Saha went ballestic and took the attack to the LSG bowlers, who had no answer to the early onslaught.

Saha maneuvered the field to perfection and weathered the early storm as the Titans raced away to 70 inside the first 6 overs. Gill, soon joined the party as the boundary floodgates opened and there was no stopping the duo.

Saha eventually reached his fifty and was well on the course to bring up his second ever hundred in the IPL, but was stopped by Avesh Khan.

By the time Saha was dismissed, he had added 142 for the first wicket alongside Gill. The onslaught continued when Hardik Pandya joined the crease and it was a double attack from the pair of Gill-Hardik that took GT to a position from where it felt as if they'll breach the 263 (the highest-ever score in IPL history).

Hardik departed for a well-compiled 25, and Gill (94) barely missed his deserving hundred as the Titans finished on a strong note towards the end.
