The Oval Invincibles have pulled out a trump card ahead of the big finale. Australian leg spinner, Adam Zampa, who played a huge role in their back-to-back titles in 2023 and 2024, is all set to rejoin the squad for The Hundred 2025 final.

Oval Invincibles Receive Timely Spin Boost With Adam Zampa In The Squad For Final

For the two-time defending champions chasing a hat-trick of trophies, this comes as a timely boost, especially with Rashid Khan unavailable. The Afghan wizard has been the heartbeat of the Invincibles’ bowling attack this season.

With 12 wickets in six games, he sits at the second spot on the wicket charts alongside teammate Sam Curran. His absence, thanks to international duty before the UAE Tri-Series 2025 and Asia Cup, was shaping up to be a massive hole in the team’s plans. But with Zampa waiting in the wings, Invincibles fans can breathe a little easier.

Zampa’s Golden Numbers

If there is one man who knows how to deliver in crunch games, it is Adam Zampa. In just 16 games of The Men’s Hundred, he has taken 29 wickets at an average of 12.86. His economy of 7.21 is another proof of his consistency. Globally, his resume is just as impressive with 385 T20 wickets at 21.53.

When the going gets tough, Zampa has shown he can spin a web around the best of batters. Having him back for the final is like finding the missing puzzle piece right when you need it most.

It is worth mentioning that Zampa had missed this season due to Australia’s white-ball series against South Africa. But head coach Tom Moody had hinted that they were in touch with the spinner and if schedules aligned, he could be back for the grand finale. Now that it’s confirmed, Oval Invincibles suddenly look like the favourites again.

Eyes On A Three-Peat

Oval Invincibles have been the team to beat in The Hundred Men's. Two titles on the trot, a balanced squad and now the return of Zampa for the biggest game of the season, everything points towards history in the making. With the leg-spinner back in the fold, the Invincibles will be gunning to spin their way to a third straight crown.
