The Pakistan team have reached Australia and are currently playing the practice games ahead of the Test series. This will be the first assignment for the newly appointed Test captain, Shan Masood. Abrar Ahmed is the premium mystery spinner of the Pakistan team, who is doubtful for the first Test as he suffered an injury scare in the practice game against the Prime Minister's XI.

In the ongoing practice match, the Pakistan captain, Shan Masood played a brilliant knock of 200 and helped Pakistan post a total of 391. Babar Azam, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Abdullah Shafique chipped in with small contributions as well. Jordan Buckingham from the Prime Minister's XI bagged five wickets as he broke the backbone of Pakistan's batting lineup.

On the other hand, at the end of the third day, Matt Renshaw is still in the middle and has been playing a terrific role with the bat, scoring 136 runs so far. Cameron Bancroft, Marcus Harris, Cameron Green and Nathan McSweeney have chipped in with 40+ individually taking the team total to 367 with four wickets down.

Abrar Ahmed had to walk off the field

Abrar Ahmed has become the leading spinner of the Pakistan team after the exclusion of Shadab Khan. Abrar has already bowled 27 overs out of 141 and felt discomfort in his right leg. Following his complaint, he was taken for the MRI scans and the reports for the same will be out soon.

The 25-year-old mystery spinner had to walk off the field due to the discomfort and could not bowl any further. This practice game is a part of the Pakistan team's preparation for the three-match Test series against Australia, which will be starting on the 14th of December and Abrar's unavailability can be a massive blow for the Men in Green.
