USA cricket has decided to take a big step of keeping Aaron Jones out of their 15-member squad for the World Cup League 2 (WCL-2) tri-series which include Nepal and Scotland. In September, Aaron Jones missed the previous World Cup League 2 series in Namibia to honour his contract with Saint Lucia Kings in CPL and it has not gone well with some of the selectors.

Aaron Jones qualified to play as a local player in CPL and did not require 'NOC' from USA cricket. However, he was selected for the T20I series after the CPL, but his performance was not upto the mark. USA have also done well in recent times, they won all the four matches in Namibia during World Cup League 2, and that has also played role in USA going without Aaron Jones for this series.

Aaron Jones Has Been A Pillar Of USA's Batting Line-Up

Aaron Jones has been a key player for USA for quite a long time now. He has the ability to mould his game according to the situation and has the power-game too if needed. He has an average of 35.77 in ODIs and has hit 11 fifties and 1 century in the format. Jones also did well in the recently held T20 World Cup in USA and played two match-winning knocks of 94* and 36* which proved decisive in USA making it to the Super 8 stage of the World Cup.

There is no clarity over his future with USA cricket, but with the quality he has in his arsenal, there are chances that he would be soon seen playing for them.
