Rinku Singh, the swashbuckling Uttar Pradesh batter, has been in scintillating form in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2024. His impressive performances with the bat have not only made him a standout in the tournament but also a crucial player to watch out for, especially with the upcoming Champions Trophy and IPL 2025 on the horizon. 

Rinku Singh's Significant Contribution In SMAT 2024 

In four matches for Uttar Pradesh in the ongoing SMAT, he has scored 70 runs against Delhi. In the next match he has scored 45* in 24 balls against Himachal Pradesh. In the third match against Haryana he has scored 30* in 32 balls and in today's match (December 1) he has scored 26* runs in 9 balls against Arunachal Pradesh. 

It would not be wrong to say that Rinku Singh has performed well as the role of a finisher. He has played crucial knocks for UP and have managed to stabilise the score. As a finisher, his job is not just about playing big shots, but also about reading the game and understanding when to take risks and when to play safe. 

Rinku has shown exactly that in the current tournament, stepping in during critical stages and finishing games with a combination of composure and flair. What sets Rinku apart is his ability to handle pressure in the latter stages of an innings. As a finisher, he has consistently delivered when the team has needed quick runs in the death overs.
