Hasan Ali has been out of the Pakistan side for quite some time now, but the pace bowler auditioned for his comeback with a breath-taking last over in Pakistan's National T20 Cup game between the Lahore Blues and Sialkot Region on Monday. He bowled a superb last over and grabbed 4 wickets (one of them was a run-out).
Hasan Ali grabs 4 wickets in 4 balls
Playing for Sialkot, Hasan Ali was at his best as in the last over of the Lahore innings, the fast bowler ran riot and dismissed 4 batters to restrict the team to 184 and the major credit goes to Hasan's brilliance.
He started the final over, conceding a six to Hussain Talat, after which, the pacer didn't look back as he knocked over Farhan Yousuf with a pearler and the middle stump got uprooted. In the next ball, he ran out the batter on strike with his presence of mind, and it was followed by two wickets back-to-back.
He took his revenge and dismissed Hussain Talat with a brilliantly disguised ball and the icing on the cake was the wicket of Mohammad Rizwan Jr to end the innings on a high.
Hasan Ali eyeing Pakistan comeback
The Pakistan pacer has been out of favour with the national selectors and last played for Pakistan in May 2024. Since then, the team has moved ahead and have started to look at new bowlers.
However, in the ongoing National T20 Cup, Hasan Ali has performed exceedingly well and could make a surprise entry, since most of the Pakistan bowlers have been struggling to take wickets.
